Purpose

The Evolution Sprint is designed for organizations that have established systems but are seeing them degrade due to growth, entropy or changing business needs.

It is a focused refinement engagement that tightens execution, recalibrates systems and addresses emerging friction without requiring a full rebuild.

Why Not Just Use a Retainer?

When gaps emerge that require focused attention, a standard retainer often does not provide enough structure or momentum to address them effectively.

The Evolution Sprint concentrates advisory support into a defined window, allowing the team to close gaps, refine existing systems and restore alignment without expanding into a larger implementation effort.

Who This Is For

  • Teams that have doubled in size and "broke" their old process.
  • Organizations prepping for a new product line or market expansion.
  • Alumni of previous Enablement Sprints (6–12 months later).

Advisory-Heavy by Design

The Evolution Sprint is advisory-heavy and refinement-focused. My role is to help leadership and teams evaluate what is working, identify gaps and adjust systems to fit reality.

This engagement intentionally avoids major reorganizations, deep architectural redesign or heavy execution ownership.

How This Differs From Fractional Leadership

The Evolution Sprint is a short, focused engagement designed to refine specific systems or areas of execution.

Fractional Leadership provides ongoing leadership capacity inside the organization to guide decisions, maintain momentum and address challenges as they emerge over time.

This sprint is best used when the goal is targeted refinement, not ongoing leadership support.

Why This Is a Situational Engagement

Not every engagement requires an Evolution Sprint. This option is introduced intentionally when patterns emerge over time and additional focused support is genuinely useful.

Outcomes

By the end of this sprint, you will have a clearer view of what has drifted, tighter ownership boundaries and simplified processes that better match your current operating reality.

The result is a more stable and aligned system that supports continued growth without unnecessary complexity.
